Requisition Job Description
The Lead Solution Architect is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient and scalable Application architecture within an organization. They collaborate with various stakeholders to understand technical requirements, create robust solutions, and ensure the integrity, security, and performance of the application infrastructure. This includes having the strong ability to look around the corner at emerging technologies and advise senior leadership around the strategic technical vision for the domain. The Lead Architect role is crucial for organizations aiming to leverage effectively for strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
*This position can sit in multiple CVS locations to include remote.
Accountabilities include:
- Define and execute architectural strategies aligned with project objectives.
- Lead and supervise architectural initiatives within assigned projects or areas.
- Develop architectural designs and solutions, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices
- Mentor and guide junior and senior architects in project-related tasks and skill development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective architectural solutions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, IT teams, and management, to understand needs and drive alignment with business and development teams.
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Assess new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance application processes and recommend their adoption where applicable.
- Architecture and design reviews: Play a key leadership role in architecture design reviews and identify gaps and recommend design changes. Actively lead and participate in the
Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities for Healthcare Business Unit while keeping in mind the complexities of our IT landscape.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering and architecture roles (technical lead, solution architect, enterprise architect)
- Strong experience in understanding non-functional requirements (SLA, response time, real time, near real time, multi-threading) and ability to create designs that meet the non-functional requirements.
- Strong experience in interoperability FHIR HL7 standards
- 5+ years of full stack development experience
- 5+ years of SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Redis and any relevant database experience
- 5+ years in cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform/AWS), microservices, and API design.
- Experience with DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Git) and Kafka.
- experience in Java, Python, Spring Boot, and front-end frameworks (Angular/JavaScript).
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, especially Generative AI and LLMs.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Interoperability enterprise solutions is a plus
- Experience/certification in one or more cloud platform (Salesforce, Google Cloud Platform, Azure & AWS) is preferred.
- Experience in large scale migration efforts from legacy technology/Asset to a modern/new Asset is preferred
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, information systems or related field or equivalent experience required
- Masters Degree in Computer Science, information systems or related field or equivalent experience preferred
