We are looking for Network Engineer for our client in Mountain View, CA

Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Location: Mountain View, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

Pay Range: $51hr - $56hr

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-scale network infrastructure.
This role focuses on ensuring secure, high-performance, and highly available network services while supporting migrations, automation initiatives, and ongoing operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Deploy, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Ensure network systems comply with security and compliance standards while minimizing user disruption during deployments and migrations.
Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent resolutions.
Develop and implement network automation tools and scripts to streamline provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.
Proactively monitor network performance and capacity, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance optimizations.
Configure and support network hardware and cabling activities.
Support network migrations in coordination with research and business teams, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal impact.
Turn up network hardware for new environments as required.
Create and manage VLANs and update firewall policies based on operational needs.
Maintain accurate documentation of IP addresses, VLANs, and configuration changes.

Requirement/Must Have:

Expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP and Layer 3 networking concepts.
Strong practical knowledge of Layer 2 technologies including STP, VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel, and L2 security.
Hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto network platforms.
Proficiency in Python for network automation and API interaction.
Experience with configuration management and automation tools.
Strong understanding of network security best practices and firewall management.

Experience:

Extensive experience in enterprise and large-scale network engineering, design, and operations.

Should Have:

Professional-level network certification or equivalent experience.
Experience with network monitoring and logging tools.
Exposure to cross-functional projects involving servers, virtualization, or storage.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
