Due to rapid growth, Oracle GDI - Government, Defense & Intelligence, is hiring 1 Senior Cloud Solution Architect supporting NGA to be the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.

This role seeks a candidate looking for a dynamic technical environment with unlimited growth. Those who excel in this role are motivated self-starters who love to solve challenging problems, feel comfortable working directly with customers, and have an insatiable curiosity about what "is possible" with cloud technology.

This is a hybrid role based in the Reston VA/ Greater Washington DC area. The position typically requires working onsite at our office or client locations 3-4 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week, depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

What you will do (Responsibilities)

You have solid experience and a passion for cloud concepts, system integration, and cloud migrations that can support customer facing engagements along with a number of internal Oracle sales efforts.
  • Responsible for engaging with strategic and more complex customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations to understand customers' strategic goals and design solutions to achieve those goals. Solutions will lead directly to implementation and sustainment efforts.
  • Embed/immerse with customers to comprehend systems, gather requirements, develop architectures and translates mission needs into solutions. May assist with solution implementation and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting.
  • Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events.
  • Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training.
  • Contributes significantly to the technical response for solicitations (RFI, RFQ, RFP, whitepapers)
  • Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new solutions, products, and processes. Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.
  • Acts as an acknowledged authority for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success.
  • Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features.
  • 8+ years' experience and expertise in the clear communication of technical information to others through presentations, demonstrations, written communication and consultative solutioning experience
  • Travel up to 25% (STL) may be needed.

What you will bring (Required):
  • MUST have experience working with the Federal Government, preferably in the Intelligence Community (NGA)
  • Experience leading in-depth discovery sessions with customers which results in the creation of business process workflows and architecture diagrams
  • Experience rearchitecting systems to cloud-native architectures
  • Experience with cloud, hybrid, and multi-cloud architectures to include full and split-stack deployments
  • Experience sizing and pricing hardware, software, and cloud requirements
  • Strong understanding of IaaS components: cloud networking, VPNs, firewalls, identity and access management, containers, container orchestration (K8s), and encryption
  • Strong understanding of Modern Data Platform architectures: data (structured, unstructured, semi-structured) ingestion, integration, security, pipelines, federation, analytics.
  • Experience monitoring performance of infrastructure through use of monitoring and alerting tools
  • Experience designing resilient/redundant architectures to meet COOP, RTO/RPO requirements

Preferred, but not required:
  • Hands on experience working with Oracle hardware (Exadata) and software (Oracle Database 19c)
  • Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $141,800 to $232,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
