Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Architect – PP/QM (Production Planning & Quality Management) to lead the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of SAP solutions that support manufacturing and quality processes. This senior role blends deep functional expertise with enterprise-level architectural vision, ensuring SAP PP and QM capabilities align with strategic business objectives and deliver scalable, efficient, and integrated solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Solution Architecture & Design
Lead the end-to-end architecture for SAP PP (Production Planning) and QM (Quality Management), ensuring alignment with business strategies and industry best practices.
Develop comprehensive architectural blueprints, data flows, integration patterns, and system interfaces across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Define solution roadmaps that support scalability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
2. Implementation & Configuration
Architect and configure core SAP PP functions: master data (BOMs, routings, work centers), MRP planning, shop-floor execution, capacity planning, and production execution.
Architect and configure SAP QM processes including quality planning, inspection plans, notifications, results recording, and batch management.
Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), and FI/CO.
3. Business Engagement & Analysis
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, and IT stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate them into high-value SAP solutions.
Conduct workshops, gap analysis, process modeling, and documentation to refine functional and technical specifications.
4. Governance & Best Practices
Establish and enforce architectural standards, design principles, and SAP best practices across the PP and QM domains.
Ensure architectural decisions consider security, compliance, maintainability, and integration impact.
5. Project Leadership
Provide project leadership for SAP PP/QM implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.
Manage solution delivery activities such as sprint planning, risk analysis, testing strategy, and go-live support.
Mentor and guide functional and technical consultants, fostering a high-performing delivery team.
6. Documentation & Support
Develop and maintain critical documentation including configuration specs, functional designs, integration plans, test cases, and user manuals.
Provide expert support post-go-live, including troubleshooting complex issues and recommending sustainable improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical & Functional Expertise
10+ years of experience in SAP SAP PP and QM solution architecture, with demonstrated leadership on several full lifecycle implementations (ECC and/or S/4HANA).
Deep functional mastery of SAP PP and QM processes including configuration, process flows, and integration touchpoints.
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, data models, and integration with adjacent modules (MM, SD, EWM, MES/LIMS).
Experience with SAP Activate or other methodology frameworks (Agile, SAFe) for enterprise delivery.

Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Pharma) involving compliance standards.
Experience integrating SAP with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), or quality compliance frameworks.
