SAP ISU DM Consultant - New Heaven CT

We are seeking an experienced and outstanding SAP ISU Consultant for one of our esteemed clients.

Core Responsibilities

• Master Data Management: Configure and maintain Technical Master Data (Connection Objects, Premises, and Device Locations) and Device Master Data (Device Categories and Register Groups).

• Device Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end process of device installation, removal, replacement, and modification.

• Meter Reading Operations: Set up meter reading units (MRUs), portions, and schedules. Configure validation rules to ensure meter readings are plausible (not too high or low).

• Integration: Ensure DM works seamlessly with other SAP modules:

  • Billing: Providing accurate consumption data for invoicing.

  • Work Management (PM/CS): Triggering field service orders for meter repairs or installs.

  • FICA: Managing disconnections and reconnections for non-payment.

• Smart Metering (AMI): Implementing Advanced Metering Infrastructure to handle automated, real-time data exchange between smart meters and SAP.

Key Technical Skills

• Module Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP IS-Utility with a focus on the DM sub-module.

• Configuration: Proficiency in IMG (Implementation Guide) settings for device categories, register groups, and validation classes.

• Process Knowledge: Familiarity with "Meter-to-Cash" (M2C) and "Move-In/Move-Out" (MIMO) processes.

• Technical Tools: Ability to use BPEM (Business Process Exception Management) to handle errors and MDTs (Master Data Templates) for automation.

• AMI/MDM: Experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure and Meter Data Management systems is increasingly essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Typically 3 7 years of functional experience in SAP IS-U.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot "implausible" meter readings and excellent communication for gathering requirements from business stakeholders.
