Actual Job Title: Cybersecurity Training and Awareness Instructional Designer
About the RoleWe are seeking a talented
Cybersecurity Training and Awareness Instructional Designer to support our Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team. In this role, you will collaborate with cybersecurity subject matter experts, Learning & Development, Communications, and other business partners to create engaging, impactful training content that strengthens our organization's security posture and reduces human risk.
This is a fully remote contract role perfect for someone who blends instructional design expertise with a passion for clear, compelling cybersecurity education.
Minimum Requirements (Must-Haves)- 3-5+ years instructional design or corporate learning experience, including developing and deploying online learning using tools such as:
- Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline)
- SCORM-compliant packagesLMS systems such as Cornerstone
- 2+ years of experience with graphic design or visual communication tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications (Should-Haves)- Experience in communications (marketing, internal/corporate communications, or similar).
- Experience supporting cybersecurity awareness programs, including phishing simulations, behavioral change campaigns, or security messaging.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, PCI-DSS, etc.) and secure behavior best practices.
ResponsibilitiesThe Cybersecurity Training and Awareness Instructional Designer will be responsible for:
- Developing online cybersecurity awareness training aligned with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal security policies.
- Examples: phishing awareness, secure data handling, password hygiene, incident reporting, etc.
- Translating technical cybersecurity content into engaging, easy-to-understand learning for non-technical audiences.
- Reviewing and enhancing existing training materials to ensure alignment with updated policies and compliance needs.
- Assisting in the development of communication plans that support training adoption, completion, and behavioral reinforcement.
- Contributing to annual and ongoing cybersecurity awareness initiatives, campaigns, and internal communications.
- Performing additional related duties as needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $45.00/hr.
