About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our growing Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and executing automated test suites that ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to integrate automation into our CI/CD pipeline, enabling rapid and confident releases. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and execute reliable and scalable automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend services.
Work within and enhance our existing test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, or Postman.
Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps to enable shift-left testing.
Execute test suites, analyze results, log detailed and reproducible bug reports, and collaborate with developers to verify fixes.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives). Work with manual QA engineers to identify test cases for automation, increasing regression coverage and efficiency.
Promote a culture of quality by advocating for best practices in test automation, code review, and testability within the development process.
Assist senior engineers with the creation and execution of basic performance and load test scripts using tools like k6 or JMeter (experience is a plus).

Required Qualifications & Skills

12+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation.
Solid proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C#. Must be comfortable writing and debugging code.
Practical experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Pytest, JUnit, TestNG, NUnit).
Experience in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
Working knowledge of Git and experience integrating tests into a CI/CD pipeline.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Knowledge of software testing concepts (types of testing, test case design, defect lifecycle).
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with performance or load testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and testing in cloud environments.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and basic SQL/database querying skills.
Experience with mobile test automation (Appium).
A foundational understanding of security testing concepts.
