Senior ServiceNow Developer

Key Responsibilities

1. Module Administration & Configuration

• CMDB & ITAM: Lead the implementation and management of ServiceNow’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) modules.

• Workflows: Configure out-of-the-box workflows and design/maintain complex custom workflows to automate business processes.

• UI/UX: Configure application-related fields, forms, views, and Service Catalog items.

• Knowledge Management: Administer the Knowledge Base and ensure seamless user access to information.

2. Development & Integration

• System Integration: Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using APIs and Web Services to ensure data consistency.

• Software Development: Build custom software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, and MySQL.

• Architecture: Apply a strong background in software architecture, data structures, and algorithms to develop scalable modules.

3. Performance & Support

• Optimization: Analyze system performance issues, determine enhancements, and perform SQL query optimization.

• Access Control: Manage email notifications, acceptance roles, and access controls (ACLs).

• Documentation: Provide technical input for user manuals and update technical documentation.

• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on system analyses and performance metrics.

Experience & Qualifications

• Seniority: 10 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.

• SDLC Mastery: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Scripting: Proficiency in Python, especially within Unix/Linux environments.

• Database Knowledge: Strong grasp of database application concepts and data structures.
