Senior Software Engineer

Introduction

You will be developing containerized (micro) services and the associated components for a distributed multi-tenant system that processes data and real-time events and systems/asset/network telemetry from multiple public clouds to provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to customers so they can identify and minimize risk in the cloud. You will also mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns to help them grow as engineers and become productive members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Write code in Java using the Spring Boot framework and work with data pipelines using Kafka/SQL or other types of interfaces.
• Develop containerized services and work with Kubernetes for service infrastructure platform.
• Own critical features and subsystems, as well as the entire software development lifecycle.
• Handle operational aspects of the system and ensure a delightful experience for customers.
• Maintain quality in all aspects of the development process through early testing.
• Partner with Product Management to review and refine requirements.
• Develop a deep understanding of the fundamental problems customers need solved.

Requirements

Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree. Master’s degree a plus.
• 8+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems.
• Passion for software development, willingness to constantly learn, and work in a team setting.
• AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform cloud experience.
• Extensive experience with at least one of these cloud platforms at the API/programming level.
• Experience with networking and security controls is a plus.
• Experience delivering containerized services in a K8s-based platform.
• Experience in Java and Spring Boot or Golang.
• Experience with REST API clients.
• Knowledge of CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible is a plus.
• General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
• Experience in a Unix/Linux programming environment.
