Cloud Architect

Introduction:

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for delivering cloud architecture solutions that address business needs while considering architecture and business margins. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based systems using best practices for efficiency, scalability, availability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Managers, developers, and DevOps engineers to understand business requirements and architect scalable cloud solutions
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based architecture using industry best practices
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies, platforms, and tools
• Optimize cloud-based systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and operational issues
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing

Requirements:

Skills Required:

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role in a production environment
• AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform cloud experience
• Experience with networking and security controls
• Experience in Java and Python programming languages
• REST API client experience
• Knowledge of CloudFormation, Terraform
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker containers
• Gang of four design patterns

Preferred Skills:

• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies
• Experience building highly scalable distributed systems
• Experience building highly scalable and resilient cloud services
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work in an agile environment
