Data Engineer

Primary Location: Louisville Kentucky

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Data Engineer for our premier client in Louisville, Kentucky.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in data warehousing
Experience with data modeling and designing scalable data architectures.

Knowledge and Skills:

Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica).
Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Advanced knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift).

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in data warehousing or cloud platforms.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:

Data Architecture:

Collaborate with data architects to design and implement scalable data storage solutions such as data lakes, warehouses, and databases.
Ensure adherence to best practices in schema design and data modeling.

Data Integration:

Integrate data from diverse sources, including APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
Ensure data is clean, consistent, and reliable through effective validation techniques.

Performance Optimization:

Monitor and improve the performance of data infrastructure.
Debug and resolve data pipeline or infrastructure issues promptly.

Collaboration:

Partner with data analysts, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver impactful solutions.
Provide technical expertise on data-related initiatives and projects.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
