Position: Oracle XStore Technical Consultant
Duration: 1+ Year
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle XStore Technical Consultant to lead offshore development and support activities for Oracle XStore POS solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in XStore, strong Java and Oracle database skills, and proven leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and onsite teams.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage offshore XStore development and support teams.
• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle XStore POS customizations and integrations.
• Collaborate with onsite teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure high code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior developers.
• Support XStore upgrades, enhancements, and production issue resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle XStore POS development.
• Strong background in Java development for extending and customizing XStore functionalities.
• Solid expertise in Oracle Database and PL/SQL for backend data operations and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with XStore upgrades, customizations, and integrations.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Experience working in offshore onsite delivery models.

Technical Skill Set

• XStore Suite Components: Experience with Xadmin, Xcenter, Xservices, Xenvironment, and XMobile Tablet.
• POS Customization & Integration: UI customizations, locale handling, device configurations, and third-party integrations (e.g., FreedomPay, SixPay, TenderRetail).
• API Development: Experience with REST/SOAP APIs using JSON and XML.
• DevOps & Version Control: Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Retail Domain Knowledge: Understanding of retail workflows, multi-store environments, and POS hardware (printers, scanners, payment terminals) is a strong plus.
