Role Overview
The Marketing Manager will support global marketing efforts across a subscription-based news platform, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and optimize campaigns that drive acquisition, retention, and engagement.
This role requires someone who is extremely reliable, detail-oriented, and confident working directly with senior stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and operational excellence are just as critical as marketing experience.
Responsibilities
- Support the Marketing Lead in executing marketing activations and consumer-facing initiatives with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Own project timelines, task management, approvals, and cross-functional coordination to ensure seamless execution
- Analyze campaign performance and contribute insights to continuously improve future activations
- Collaborate with internal partners across content, product marketing, retail, and media teams on cross-merchandising initiatives
- Assist with post-campaign reporting, debriefs, and documentation to capture learnings and recommendations
- Apply a performance marketing mindset across the full customer lifecycle, from acquisition through retention and engagement
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree
- 6+ years of marketing experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to design A/B tests, analyze results, and deliver actionable insights
- Proven success driving acquisition, retention, and growth through digital-first campaigns
- Strong analytical skills with experience tying marketing efforts to business and revenue outcomes
- Solid understanding of audience segmentation, data workflows, and marketing automation
- Experience partnering closely with creative, product marketing, and/or engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience managing large-scale marketing programs for global brands
- Background in subscription-based, content-driven, or media businesses
- Familiarity with digital content performance metrics and subscription funnels
- Interest in journalism, content strategy, and the intersection of product and storytelling
- Experience using tools such as Slack, Keynote, Numbers, Airtable, and Quip
