Data Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Armonk, NY that is seeking a Data Architect to lead the design, modernization, and optimization of enterprise-scale data platforms. This role will be instrumental in shaping data architecture strategy across transactional systems, operational data stores, data lakes, and analytical platforms, with a strong emphasis on cloud migration and performance at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead logical and physical data architecture design across transactional systems, ODS, data lakes, and enterprise data warehouses
* Architect and optimize cloud-based data platforms, with a strong preference for Snowflake on Azure
* Drive data performance management and tuning, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
* Design and oversee ETL/data integration frameworks supporting both analytical and operational reporting needs
* Partner with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver robust reporting architectures (operational and analytical)
* Provide technical leadership for system migrations, including large-scale on-prem to cloud transformations
* Establish data standards, best practices, and governance aligned to enterprise architecture principles
* Communicate architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of hands-on data architecture experience, including transactional systems, ODS, data lakes, and data warehouses
* Demonstrated expertise in logical and physical data modeling
* Strong background in data platform performance tuning and optimization
* Deep experience with ETL/data integration technologies and patterns
* Proven knowledge of reporting architectures, supporting both analytical and operational use cases
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across teams
* Direct experience leading or supporting on-prem to cloud migrations

Preferred Qualifications:
* Snowflake architecture and optimization experience
* Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
* Familiarity with modern data governance, security, and metadata management practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
