Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in managing and improving network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain network systems, including Cisco routers and switches.
Configure and monitor Palo Alto firewalls to ensure robust security measures.
Manage and troubleshoot Cisco ASA devices to maintain seamless network operations.
Administer and optimize Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations for efficient routing.
Conduct periodic network performance assessments and apply necessary improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address network-related issues and enhance overall system reliability.
Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and protocols.
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices across all network components.
Provide technical support and guidance for network-related challenges.
Stay updated with emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Requirements
Proven experience working with Cisco routers and switches.
Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewall configuration and management.
Hands-on expertise with Cisco ASA devices and troubleshooting.
In-depth understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and its implementation.
Ability to analyze network performance and identify areas for improvement.
Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Familiarity with industry standards and security protocols for networking.
