Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote per week
Contract Duration: 12-18 months
Pay: $60-$75/hr
Job Summary
We are seeking a Terraform DevOps Engineer to support a critical Identity and Access Management (IAM) portfolio that enables secure customer and internal access to enterprise applications. This role will focus on infrastructure automation, cloud services, and backend system support for highly available identity services used across multiple business lines. The ideal candidate will bring a strong DevOps skill set, hands-on Terraform experience, and a background in backend Java development supporting scalable services.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Terraform scripts to provision and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS
- Support and enhance backend identity services, including authentication, authorization, and user identity lifecycle management
- Collaborate with application and platform teams to deploy and manage containerized services using Kubernetes
- Work with Java-based backend services that expose APIs consumed by multiple front-end applications
- Support IAM functionality such as identity provisioning, access control, and multi-factor authentication
- Partner with teams across multiple lines of business including call center platforms, enterprise solutions, and small business services
- Ensure infrastructure and services meet security, performance, and scalability requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in lower and higher environments
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Cloud experience with AWS, including core services and security concepts
- Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes environments
- Backend Java development experience, including work on Java services and APIs
- Experience supporting or integrating with backend systems in a microservices-based architecture
Preferred / Plus Qualifications
- Direct experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
