Detailed Job Description
The Client is seeking a results-oriented and adaptable individual with a "can-do" attitude to lead business intelligence projects, as well as legacy and modernized software/application development initiatives for our business partners.
This Project Manager will lead multiple projects, ranging from small efforts to multi-million-dollar development initiatives, and collaborate with other Project Managers within DCF and potentially across State of Wisconsin departments, including the Department of Administration (DOA) and the Department of Health Services (DHS).
The individual in this role will lead business intelligence and software/application development teams and work closely with business partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
The individual in this position will:
- Be responsible for technical and overall project management of enterprise-wide business intelligence, software/application development, and infrastructure/architecture projects.
- Work closely with the project sponsor and IT senior management to understand and prioritize project tasks.
- Solve complex technical problems while understanding business objectives and challenges.
- Identify alternative solutions and perform feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis in support of enterprise-wide business intelligence initiatives.
- Build and lead effective project teams to meet defined milestones.
- Develop standards, policies, and procedures for the form, structure, and attributes of business intelligence documentation, tools, and systems.
- Develop data and information quality metrics.
- Develop and maintain project charters, plans, deliverables, and other project artifacts.
- Research new technologies and develop business cases supporting enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Required Experience & Certifications
- 12+ years of project management experience, including leadership of large and complex database management systems and business intelligence tools.
- Selected candidate must provide copies of all certifications as part of the hiring process.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to work effectively as a team player.
