Summary
The Creative Operations Manager is responsible for building and maintaining efficient creative workflows that enable our in-house agency to deliver exceptional work on time and within budget. This role ensures operational excellence by optimizing processes, managing resources, and fostering collaboration across creative and marketing teams.
Description
You will lead the development and execution of creative operations strategies, ensuring that every project moves seamlessly through intake, briefing, production, and delivery. This position requires expertise in workflow design, project management, and resource planning to maximize team efficiency and creative output.
Responsibilities
Creative Workflow Management:
o Design, implement, and continuously improve creative workflows for intake, briefing, review, and approvals.
o Establish clear processes for prioritization, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
o Ensure creative teams have clarity on timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.
o Monitor workflow performance and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
Project & Operations Leadership:
o Oversee all creative projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
o Maintain accurate project documentation and status updates across multiple platforms.
o Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Partner with marketing ops, brand strategy, web development, paid media, social media, and other channel leads to align creative output with campaign goals.
o Act as the primary liaison between creative teams and business stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication.
o Support integration of creative assets into Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and other tools.
Process & Technology Optimization:
o Evaluate and implement project management tools and systems to streamline workflows.
o Develop reporting dashboards to track operational metrics, resource utilization, and project performance.
o Champion best practices for creative operations across the organization.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
Experience:
o 5+ years in creative operations, project management, or agency account management.
o In-house agency experience preferred.
o Experience with integrated marketing campaigns and creative workflows.
Skills:
o Expertise in creative workflow design and process optimization.
o Strong organizational skills.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Workfront, Asana, SmartSheet).
o Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Bonus experience:
o PMP or Project Management Certification.
o Experience with Digital Asset Management systems.
