Microsoft Fabric Architect Environment Design - Fulltime

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Fabric Architect to design and oversee the end-to-end environment setup for our unified data platform. This role will lead the architecture of the OneLake storage environment, workspace governance, security policies, and integration with Azure and Microsoft 365 services. You will play a key role in aligning infrastructure design with business objectives and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design scalable and secure Microsoft Fabric environments across business units.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Architect OneLake storage layouts, Lakehouse/Warehouse structures, and workspace hierarchies.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines leveraging Microsoft Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, and other Fabric components.
• Define and enforce data governance, access control, and security policies using Microsoft Purview and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Integrate Fabric with Azure Data Lake, D365, Microsoft 365, and external BI tools.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and developers to gather requirements and ensure the architecture meets business needs.
• Document architectural decisions, system components, data flow, and processes to ensure maintainability and scalability.
• Guide DevOps setup, workspace automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support capacity planning, license management, and performance optimization.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in data platform architecture, with 2+ years in Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric components Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, OneLake
• Deep experience in Azure ecosystem, including Data Factory, ADLS, Purview, Entra ID.
• Strong understanding of Power BI deployment pipelines, Lakehouse architecture, and Delta Lake format.
• Familiarity with data modeling, security best practices, and enterprise data governance.
• Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
