SAP Ariba Contract Compliance Lead Job Requirement
We are seeking a senior functional leader with deep SAP Ariba Source-to-Pay expertise to design, implement, and operationalize a new Contract Compliance function. This position requires a highly skilled business-focused Ariba expert capable of re-engineering processes, driving cross-functional alignment, and building reporting solutions that support executive-level visibility.
Core Functional Requirements
End-to-end SAP Ariba functional expertise across Upstream (Sourcing, Contracts) and Downstream (Buying & Invoicing).
Proven experience designing and implementing contract compliance processes, not just using them.
Ability to engineer workflows linking sourcing, contracting, procurement, and PO creation.
Deep understanding of Ariba s contract compliance functionality and how contracts integrate into requisition-to-payment processes.
Experience building and maintaining Supplier Master data structures that support contract hierarchy and sourcing strategies.
Process & Leadership Requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engagement (Procurement, Contract Management, Enabling Capabilities, Integration teams).
Experience driving process re-engineering, identifying interdependencies, and optimizing end-to-end S2P lifecycle flows.
Ability to own the process as a functional business lead, not a technical developer or application user.
Skilled in creating phased implementation plans and managing tight timelines.
Reporting & Analytics Requirements
Strong experience developing reports, dashboards, and compliance metrics (Excel, Ariba reporting, or similar tools).
Ability to translate complex data into clear, executive-ready visuals and presentations.
Experience presenting findings directly to senior leadership.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to facilitate discussions, bring teams together, and drive consensus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated experience consulting on complex business execution initiatives.
Additional Context
Role functions as a business owner/facilitator for contract compliance within an ongoing Ariba migration (PeopleSoft Ariba).
Requires 3 days/week onsite in Charlotte, NC.
Ideal candidate understands both the contract setup and procurement execution needed to ensure POs fully align with contract terms.
Must be able to support visibility for a highly scrutinized, executive-level initiative.
