This hybrid role in Phoenix or Charlotte provides the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies and influence long-term technical strategy. The position offers exposure to major modernization initiatives, hands-on architecture, and the chance to guide engineering best practices. The selected engineer will contribute to innovative automation efforts and growing DevSecOps capabilities across the enterprise.

How You Will Make an Impact

Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure across hybrid environments.
Build automated provisioning workflows using Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tooling.
Optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost while maintaining stringent security standards.
Develop and enforce vulnerability management automation for production and non-production workloads.
Collaborate with development, InfoSec, and operations teams to align architecture with business needs.
Drive the evolution of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including secure CICD pipelines.
Generate architecture documentation, deployment diagrams, and KPI reporting for leadership.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in on-demand production support rotations.

Are you an experienced cloud engineering professional ready to make an impact?

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years enterprise information technology experience
5+ years building and architecting cloud solutions, with a strong focus on Azure
Advanced Terraform expertise (modules, reusable patterns, state management, enterprise structure)
Strong knowledge of Linux administration and fundamentals
Experience designing distributed cloud environments with Azure services such as Front Door, Firewall, AKS, APIM, CosmosDB, ACR, VM/VMSS, Key Vault, and Storage Accounts
Background implementing secure cloud architectures and vulnerability remediation processes
Experience with full DevOps lifecycle including CI/CD and secure deployment practices
Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and documentation capabilities

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with Azure Defender, container and API security, and infrastructure scanning
Prior work in financial services or regulated environments
Azure certifications (Solutions Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer Expert)
Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical strategy
