We are seeking a skilled Automation Platform engineer/architect to design, implement, and optimize automation solutions across a modern, containerized infrastructure. This role emphasizes platform engineering, architecture, and operational excellence rather than development alone. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in an Automation Platform, infrastructure-as-code, and containerized environments (e.g. OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker) with AWS experience as a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy and manage Ansible Automation Platform clusters in a containerized ecosystem.
Define and implement automation strategies, governance and standards across infrastructure and operations teams.
Integrate AAP with enterprise systems for authentication, inventory and CI/CD workflows.
Build and manage scalable, reliable and secure automation architectures.
Collaborate with DevOps, platform, and cloud teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Troubleshoot and optimize platform performance, automation workflows, and underlying infrastructure.
Provide technical guidance and best practices for automation adoption.
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience with container orchestration, including AAP, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
Hands-on experience with Linux systems administration and automation at scale.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Solid understanding of networking, security, and configuration management concepts.
Experience with scripting languages for automation support.
