Staff Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer in Boston, MA. Kforce is partnering with a category-leading financial technology company building the -internet of money,- where value moves globally, almost instantly, and at lower cost. Their platform and developer-first infrastructure (including a widely adopted dollar-backed digital asset) power new possibilities in payments, commerce, and markets within strong, regulated jurisdictions.

Key Tasks:
* Extend in-house blockchain infrastructure to support global tokenization
* Design, build, and own secure, scalable microservices and public APIs that move value across multiple blockchains and traditional banking rails
* Integrate platform services with leading banks and fintechs
* Define system design, testing procedures, and quality standards; Create clear documentation
* Troubleshoot incidents and restore services with a reliability/observability mindset
* Collaborate with Product & Engineering to shape features end-to-end and influence architecture

REQUIREMENTS:
* BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent)
* 7+ years of professional software development (Go or Java)
* Technical leadership of teams (=4) on architecture and system design
* Depth in one: API design, payments processing, or blockchain/Web3
* Experience with cloud (AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure), containers and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS/ECS)
* Strong RESTful API principles; SQL schema design; Familiarity with NoSQL a plus
* Commitment to code quality, standards, test coverage, and CI/CD
* Excellent communication; effective in distributed teams
* Self-starter who ships quickly and iterates

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
