Position SummaryThe
Network Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving an organization's network infrastructure. This role provides day-to-day network administration, escalated troubleshooting support, and contributes to network engineering tasks and infrastructure upgrades. The position also plays a key role in evaluating new technologies, creating network documentation, and assisting with long-term planning initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Administration & Support- Manage daily administration of enterprise network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and cloud network components.
- Diagnose and resolve network disruptions, performance issues, and connectivity problems.
- Maintain detailed documentation for network diagrams, IP addressing, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Network Engineering & Infrastructure- Assist with the design, planning, and execution of network architecture enhancements.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and related hardware.
- Research and recommend technologies to improve scalability, performance, and security.
- Support infrastructure upgrade projects, cloud integrations, and new build-out implementations.
Azure & Cloud Networking- Administer Microsoft Azure networking services, such as virtual networks, VPN gateways, routing, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Contribute to cloud adoption strategies and implement best practices for cloud security and performance.
Network Security & Compliance- Apply industry-standard security practices including VLAN configuration, segmentation, access control, firewalls, and patch management.
- Monitor the environment for vulnerabilities, unusual activity, and system integrity issues.
- Support compliance initiatives and help enforce network security policies.
Collaboration & Mentorship- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology initiatives, project planning, and implementation.
- Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to junior administrators and support staff.
- Help develop internal documentation, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
Required Skills & Qualifications- 3-5+ years of network administration or network engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, wireless systems, and enterprise network environments.
- Strong understanding of network security, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and TCP/IP.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure networking components.
- Proficient in troubleshooting complex network issues.
- Familiarity with wireless network technologies and access point management.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+, or Azure Administrator.
- Experience with network monitoring and logging tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk).
- Experience in multi-site or enterprise-scale network environments.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $69000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
