Description:
Seeking a skilled Technical Artist III to streamline game content creation pipelines and support artists across Maya, Photoshop, Substance Painter/Designer, Perforce, and Unreal Engine. This role collaborates closely with Art, Design, Engineering, and Production teams to enhance workflows, build scalable tools, standardize processes, and deliver high-quality technical content. Ideal for a tech-driven artist with strong communication, scripting, and pipeline development experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to artists and gather data to improve tools and workflows.
- Identify, design, and build foundational pipelines and tools.
- Analyze workflow gaps and recommend targeted improvements.
- Partner with production to develop long-term pipeline strategies.
- Work closely with artists and engineers to understand needs and advise on tool/pipeline development.
- Mentor and support Technical Artists through code reviews, testing, and feedback.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years as a Technical Artist in games or related fields.
- Experience in mobile and/or AAA game development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Unreal Engine.
- Solid understanding of the game asset art pipeline.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, responsible, and able to work autonomously.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience working on large AAA game teams.
- Expertise in DCC content creation and tool development, especially with Maya, Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
