Job Description

American University is seeking a Workday Student Reporting Consultant to support ongoing and upcoming Workday Student initiatives. This role will focus heavily on Workday Reporting within the Workday Student platform, supporting institutional reporting, analytics, and data needs.

Due to limited initial scope details, this role is best suited for a consultant with strong hands-on experience delivering Workday Student reporting across multiple implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Workday Student reports including:
  • Advanced Reports
  • Composite Reports
  • Dashboards and Calculated Fields
• Support reporting needs across Workday Student modules (Admissions, Records, Curriculum, Student Finance, etc.)
• Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to gather reporting requirements
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing reports for accuracy and performance
• Support data validation, testing, and post-deployment reporting activities
• Provide guidance and best practices for Workday Student reporting

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Workday Reporting
• Experience on at least 3 Workday Student implementations, specifically focused on reporting
• Deep knowledge of Workday Student data structures
• Workday Reporting Certification (required)
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Higher education or university environment experience
• Experience supporting post-production or optimization phases
• Exposure to Workday Prism or analytics is a plus
