Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. Oracle EBS 11i Costing Specialist for a short-term remote contract engagement to lead a change in costing model. The resource will work with Finance to convert the current costing model from average/weighted average to FIFO and assess impacts across a highly customized legacy Oracle 11i environment. The consultant must design the approach, execute the change, validate before-and-after inventory valuation and reporting, and collaborate with technical and finance teams to mitigate risk and ensure accurate financial outcomes.
Responsibilities:
· Assess current Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 11i Costing configuration and customizations to identify impacts and risks.
· Design a migration approach from the existing Costing method to the target costing method (Average to FIFO).
· Execute configuration and technical changes in Oracle EBS and related integrations.
· Perform before-and-after inventory valuation snapshots and reconcile inventory values.
· Develop and lead testing and validation with finance users, including addressing outliers and reporting differences.
· Document changes, controls, and recommended mitigation steps for identified risks.
· Collaborate with internal functional and technical teams and provide clear timeline and effort estimates.
Required Skills & Experience:
· Proven experience changing costing models from Average to FIFO in Oracle EBS 11i.
· Deep functional and technical knowledge of Oracle EBS costing modules and inventory accounting.
· Experience working in highly customized, legacy Oracle environments (11i preferred).
· Strong understanding of inventory valuation, finance impacts, and reconciliation processes.
· Ability to design the solution approach and also execute configuration and technical tasks.
· Proven track record of testing, validating, and resolving reporting and integration issues.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills with finance and IT stakeholders.
