The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process within the RMA industry. This includes driving improvement initiatives to reduce waste and enhance efficiency across key functional areas such as Refurbishment (Upgrade), Final Quality Check (FQC), Packing, and Shipping. The role requires expertise in facilitating Kaizen events and process optimization, with a focus on manufacturing, yield, and cycle time improvements. Key responsibilities include implementing strategic plans, providing project management support, and overseeing employee training and development. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the capacity to manage and motivate teams effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee production planning and control and lead a team of production supervisors, technicians and assembly operators to achieve Productivity, Cost, quality and Delivery Performance; develop and implement plans to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Plan and deploy resources to meet KPI targets and company objectives; Initiate continuous improvement to eliminate waste.
- IQC/Production planning and control and lead a team of production supervisors, technicians, and operators to achieve productivity, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Ensure minimal production downtime and process bottlenecks.
- Cycle time and time study activities for all production lines.
- Report in weekly operations reviews.
- Collaboration with other departments and headquarters to drive for excellence and schedule and coordinate production activities to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Identify and resolve production-related problems promptly.
- Manage production team and monitor to ensure they follow internal processes.
- Ensure the quality of the end product meets customer expectations.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with internal teams to order materials as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and maintain accurate records of production data and costs.
Skill/Knowledge Requirements:
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
- Must have hands-on experience in SAP.
- Must have great interpersonal communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
- Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to function independently and be able to multi-task.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Must have at least five (2) to seven (5) years of production planning experience, in a manufacturing environment preferred.
