Description
Our client seeking a Tier 2 Microsoft Systems Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support and administration for our enterprise IT environment. This role serves as an escalation point for Tier 1 issues and ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of our Microsoft-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, and endpoint management, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft Administration Suite
Manage Active Directory: user/group administration, GPOs, OU structure, and domain services.
Troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange/Outlook: mail flow, mailbox permissions, and calendar sync.
Administer Microsoft Teams & SharePoint: collaboration tools, permissions, and content management.
Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager: device enrollment, compliance policies, and remote management.
Azure Active Directory
Handle user provisioning, hybrid sync, MFA, and conditional access.
Monitor audit logs and identity protection features.
Tier 2 Troubleshooting
Act as escalation point for unresolved Tier 1 issues.
Perform root cause analysis for hardware, software, and network problems.
Maintain clear documentation and update knowledge base.
Ensure SLA compliance and collaborate with Tier 3 teams when necessary.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Azure Cloud Services: VMs, NSGs, VPNs, Azure Monitor, backup/recovery.
Meraki Networking: Cisco Meraki Dashboard, VLANs, SSIDs, firewall/VPN setup.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 3+ years in IT support or systems administration, with Tier 2 responsibilities.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator (preferred).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $44.23/hr.
