Role Overview
The SAP Business Network for Logistics (BN4L) Consultant will lead design, deployment, and optimization of logistics collaboration processes across a high tech manufacturing supply chain. This role requires deep functional expertise in SAP BN4L, hands on experience with multiple end to end implementations, and the ability to work closely with cross functional teams in a fast paced, compliance driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Drive full lifecycle implementations of SAP Business Network for Logistics, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
Integrate BN4L with SAP S/4HANA, SAP TM, SAP EWM, and external carrier networks.
Lead collaboration processes such as:
Freight tendering
Carrier onboarding
Track & trace
Dock appointment scheduling
Shipment visibility
Partner with logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and IT teams to align BN4L capabilities with business needs.
Conduct workshops, create functional specifications, and coordinate with technical teams for enhancements and integrations.
Ensure solution scalability for high volume, global supply chain operations typical of Hi Tech manufacturing.
Provide expert guidance on best practices, process optimization, and change management.
Support testing cycles (SIT, UAT) and develop training materials for business users.
Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement post go live.
Required Skills & Experience
5–10+ years of SAP consulting experience with at least 2–3 full lifecycle BN4L implementations.
Strong functional knowledge of:
SAP Business Network for Logistics
SAP Transportation Management (TM)
SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain
Hands on experience integrating carriers, 3PLs, and logistics partners.
Deep understanding of Hi Tech manufacturing logistics, including:
Complex global supply chains
High mix/low volume production
Component-level traceability
Vendor-managed logistics
Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale, CA and collaborate with cross functional teams.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP BTP integration services.
Knowledge of ASN processes, global trade compliance, and advanced shipment visibility tools.
Prior consulting experience with major Hi Tech OEMs or contract manufacturers.
SAP certifications in Supply Chain or Logistics modules
