Description
We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will focus on enhancing website functionality, optimizing performance, and ensuring scalability within a fast-paced financial services environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality web solutions.
Responsibilities:
Build and customize new pages in WordPress while maintaining and updating existing ones.
Develop and implement complex design elements and features to enhance website functionality.
Collaborate with designers and stakeholders using tools like Figma and Workfront to bring ideas to life.
Diagnose and resolve WordPress-related issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Optimize websites for accessibility, SEO, and page speed to improve user experience.
Customize and extend WordPress plugins to address specific business requirements.
Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure website security and reliability.
Follow coding standards and best practices for version control, documentation, and database interaction.
Troubleshoot and fix bugs, compatibility issues, and other technical challenges.
Ensure that websites meet performance, responsiveness, and scalability standards.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with WordPress, including coding and optimization.
Proficiency in page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, or WPBakery.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with SEO principles and strategies to enhance website visibility and performance.
Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Basic knowledge of UI/UX design principles and attention to detail.
Experience with database interaction, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, diagnose problems, and provide effective solutions.
