Our work depends on a Systems Analyst joining our team to perform analysis, write functional requirements and manual test complex changes made to systems supporting the Medicare Secondary Payer office of CMS. GENERAL SUMMARY: Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with company/customer system architecture standards. Write and execute manual test cases to validate system changes.
HOW A SYSTEMS ANALYST SR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Analyzes functional changes to be made to existing or proposed systems.
- Writes functional/system requirements that will include information about required changes to web front-end, database, web service, RESTful service, batch processing.
- Writes detailed test cases that include prerequisite steps, input/data scenarios, test steps, and expected results.
- Prepares test data to satisfy test scenarios.
- Performs manual testing of test cases and documents evidence of expected results being met.
- Opens defects when found during system testing, and coordinates with developer through resolution; retests defects when coding is complete.
- Participates in internal peer reviews of requirements, test cases, technical design, and code/unit test results.
- Provides estimates on upcoming work.
- Supports the UAT effort.
- Troubleshoots and provides support to Production Support as needed.
- May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.
- Maintains/gains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Occasional need to provide support off-hours for ad hoc deployments to Production and for quarterly release implementations.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- 3+ years of experience directly related to computer functional/systems analysis.
- 3+ years of experience writing test cases and performing manual test execution on batch systems and web front-end systems.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in systems/functional analysis and software testing.
- Proficiency in the use of one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.
- Proficiency in running SQL queries.
- Proven analytical skills.
- Proven ability to handle simultaneous assignments and meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other analysts and developers.
- Knowledge of Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP).
LOCATION: Remote
CLEARANCE: Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years.

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $108,100. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
