Key Responsibilities
Define and guide the enterprise data management roadmap, spanning MDM, metadata management, data catalog, and data quality.
Provide strategic direction on expanding Informatica MDM to support Epic and broader enterprise needs.
Partner closely with Epic teams to align data models, domains, and integration requirements.
Identify and manage healthcare-specific data challenges, dependencies, and risks during conversion.
Ensure regulatory, compliance, and healthcare data standards are met.
Lead solution design and implementation efforts across:
MDM (Informatica)
Metadata Management & Data Catalog (Collibra)
Data Quality (potentially Informatica DQ)
Establish and enforce data governance standards, stewardship models, and ownership structures.
Ensure alignment between data governance objectives and operational implementation.
Guide the definition and implementation of data quality rules, controls, and monitoring processes.
Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, IT leadership, and data governance teams.
Lead cross-functional teams and vendors with clarity, and accountability; keep initiatives moving forward in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
Communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of experience working with healthcare data, including clinical, provider, patient, or operational domains.
Proven leadership in Master Data Management initiatives within complex healthcare environments.
Strong understanding of data validation, data readiness, and data conversion activities, particularly for Epic EHR implementations.
Experience engaging directly with Epic counterparts and healthcare business stakeholders.
Solid knowledge of enterprise data management and data governance principles.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
Experience in implementing and expanding Informatica MDM, Informatica or Collibra Data Catalog/ Metadata & Data Quality platforms capabilities to support Epic/ enterprise needs.
Deep understanding of Data Management Solution architecture, data models, mappings, and transformation logic; match and merge rules, trust rules, and survivorship logic; hierarchy management, workflow, and security roles in MDM; data integration into the MDM system.
Background in defining enterprise data strategies and leading large-scale implementations.
