Senior Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer

Job Summary 

Experienced Senior Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer to join our team. This role requires a hands-on professional who can hit the ground running, providing advanced systems administration, engineering, and operational support across enterprise and critical infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with virtualization, cloud infrastructure, Windows server environments, containerization, and automation, along with the ability to support complex, security-sensitive systems.

Key Responsibilities

·       Design, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise systems infrastructure.

·       Administer and engineer virtualization platforms, including VMware and other virtualization technologies.

·       Manage and support cloud infrastructure environments, primarily AWS, with Azure experience considered a plus.

·       Provide Level 2 and Level 3 troubleshooting and support for infrastructure and system issues.

·       Build, run, and maintain containerized services using Kubernetes and related container technologies.

·       Administer Windows Server environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security.

·       Manage Active Directory environments, including domains, computers, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and related services.

·       Monitor system health and performance using enterprise monitoring platforms such as Tanium and SolarWinds.

·       Support and manage enterprise storage systems, with a preference for HP storage technologies.

·       Implement and maintain automation solutions using scripting and AI-assisted tools to improve operational efficiency.

·       Support and operate systems within controlled and secure environments, including DMZ and critical infrastructure networks.

·       Adhere to process control and security models, including Purdue Model environments and other critical systems architectures.

Required Qualifications

·       5+ years of experience in systems administration and systems engineering roles.

·       Strong hands-on experience with VMware and virtualization platforms.

·       Proven experience managing Windows Server environments in enterprise settings.

·       Experience with cloud infrastructure management (AWS required; Azure a plus).

·       Advanced troubleshooting skills with experience providing Level 2 and Level 3 support.

·       Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Tanium, SolarWinds).

·       Solid understanding of Active Directory administration, including GPOs and domain management.

·       Experience working in secure, process-controlled, or critical infrastructure environments.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application/service deployment.

·       Enterprise storage experience, particularly with HP storage solutions.

·       Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).

·       Familiarity with AI-assisted automation or operational tooling.

·       Experience supporting DMZ architectures and Purdue Model environments.
