Job Title:Senior Server Engineer - VMware Infrastructure Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Server Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade VMware environments, including vSphere 8.x and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9. This role requires deep expertise in virtualization, automation, and cloud integration within mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities- Architect, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere 8.x clusters and VCF 9 environments.
- Perform lifecycle management, patching, and upgrades for ESXi hosts, vCenter, and VCF components.
- Configure and optimize Aria Operations for performance and resiliency.
- Configure and optimize Zerto for performance and resiliency.
- Implement disaster recovery strategies using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
- Automate provisioning and configuration tasks using PowerCLI, PowerShell, vRealize Automation, etc.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and compliance.
- Collaborate with network, storage, and security teams for integrated solutions.
- Document designs, processes, and operational procedures.
- On-call and off-hours work, as required.
Required Qualifications- 6 years of experience in server engineering and virtualization.
- Expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere 8.x and VCF 9 architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Aria Operations.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerCLI, PowerShell, or similar).
- Familiarity with enterprise storage, networking, and security best practices.
- A strong understanding of DNS & DHCP.
- A good understanding of general networking. IP, subnet mask, gateway, firewall, load balancer, etc.
- A good understanding of how storage works with a VMware environment. LUNs, WWN, SAN, HBAs, storage policies, etc.
Preferred Skills- Experience with hybrid cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills.
