The
Senior Office 365 Engineer will be responsible for the overall execution and technical implementation of Office 365.
Responsibilities include management of all Office 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online, as well as tenant administration. This role requires Office 365 subject-matter expertise across all features and services, with extensive experience in email administration. Successful candidates must have hands-on design and implementation experience around the major dependencies of Microsoft 365 solutions. This candidate should be forward-thinking and have excellent engineering skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to develop and/or implement large, complex technology solutions and ensure the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and improvement of critical IT systems for our customers.
This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, well-equipped offices in Tbilisi and Batumi or a coworking space in Kutaisi.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and implement Microsoft Office 365 capabilities as the company expands
- Provide tier 3 support and management of the end-to-end Office 365 environment
- Ensure all production changes are made in accordance with production lifecycle methodology and risk/change management guidelines
- Provide technical mentoring to other team members and actively participate in architecture reviews/strategic development activities
Requirements
- Possess 3+ years of equivalent work experience
- Skilled in engineering and administering Office 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Outlook, Office, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Azure, Scripting, Active Directory, and Archiving Services
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python, with a focus on automation
- Familiarity with Cisco-based Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies (i.e., WebEx)
- Adept at managing Office 365 users, licenses, and groups
- Knowledgeable about security components specific to Azure Information Protection (AIP), Data Leakage Prevention (DLP), Advanced eDiscovery and Conditional Access capabilities
- Exposure to other infrastructure areas, including Active Directory, VMware, Storage, Backup & Recovery, SQL Server, Azure Cloud Services, etc
- Strong hands-on technical skills, an analytical problem-solving mindset, delivery focus and client orientation are all critical for this role
- Strong experience managing virtual instances in cloud environments (Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Platform), including associated elements such as security groups, resource groups, load balancers, storage devices, backup & recovery, and network resources
- Experience in configuring Azure resources - Azure Virtual WAN, Application Gateway, Route Table, Azure Policy
- Competent in using PowerShell and C# to create runbooks in System Center Orchestrator
- Experienced with Azure DevOps, assisting application/development teams in building CI/CD pipelines, configuring service connections, and managing self-hosted agents
- Proficient in deploying Azure resources using IAC (ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform)
- Capable of configuring private endpoints/private DNS Zones at scale
- Basic knowledge and understanding of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub, for code collaboration and management
- Excellent listening and questioning skills combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and problem management

- Strong experience in Microsoft Exchange 2016 or later and Office 365 Must be able to act as 3rd-tier support for messaging-related escalated issues
