OVERVIEW

The Configuration Manager ensures that all software and technologies comply with established policies, standards, and best practices. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams-including development, operations, and security-to design, implement, and enforce configuration management processes that enhance system resiliency and reliability while minimizing potential impact from code changes.

Configuration Managers are detail-oriented, highly collaborative professionals who maintain thorough documentation to ensure accountability, traceability, and compliance throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

In this role, you will help deliver advanced digital solutions by partnering directly with clients to integrate and optimize platforms. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment-driving project roadmaps, setting milestones, establishing key metrics, and uniting teams to achieve measurable results and deliver meaningful impact.

The Configuration Manager will:
  • Ensure all software and technologies comply with organizational policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including development, operations, and security-to define, implement, and enforce configuration management standards.
  • Apply configuration expertise to enhance system resiliency, reliability, and overall performance.
  • Minimize risks and potential impacts associated with code or system changes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure proper tracking, approvals, and accountability throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Lead the delivery of advanced digital solutions by partnering directly with clients to integrate and optimize platforms.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, Agile environment to drive project roadmaps and establish key milestones.
  • Define and monitor metrics to measure progress, quality, and performance.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across teams to achieve tangible project outcomes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in configuration management
  • 5+ years of experience with directing and addressing the management and coordination of products from development through production, including leading the coordination, integration, and flow of development, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience with source code version control systems (GitHub).
  • Experience with Agile collaboration and task management tools (JIRA)
  • Experience with providing limited code reviews to Java based software projects.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to describe and document issues for different audiences, managers, system engineers, and administrators.
  • Experience with identifying configuration items, performing periodic audits, and providing verification of version release configuration items.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field is required.
