Senior System Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Hastings, MI that is seeking a Senior System Administrator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Windows Server platforms
* Administer and optimize enterprise virtualization environments including VMware clusters, Hyper-V, and Citrix
* Manage cloud-hosted platforms and services across Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Lead patch management strategy and execution, ensuring timely updates and compliance
* Develop and maintain Microsoft Group Policies; oversee comprehensive server administration
* Monitor, analyze, and optimize system and storage performance; ensure infrastructure meets business SLAs
* Administer, patch, and maintain SAN storage systems and server hardware
* Implement, maintain, and test enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions
* Perform advanced cybersecurity functions including SIEM usage, log analysis, vulnerability management, and remediation
* Automate operational workflows using advanced PowerShell scripting and other automation tools

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of experience in systems administrator roles
* Expertise with Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, Citrix, Azure, and AWS
* Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell
* Deep experience with VMware clusters, Hyper V, Citrix, Windows Server, SAN management, and enterprise performance optimization
* Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and operational support in Azure and AWS
* Advanced cybersecurity capability including SIEM usage, vulnerability remediation, log analysis, and patch program leadership
* Automation expertise using advanced PowerShell scripting to improve efficiency and reduce downtime

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
