Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Software Application Developer (.NET) to support a legacy-to-modern application modernization initiative. This role involves full-stack development using .NET Framework 4.8, with both server-side and UI responsibilities, and close collaboration with database and ETL teams.

The developer will work within an Agile Scrum environment, contributing to development, performance optimization, security hardening, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements & Analysis

• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and architects to gather and document technical and functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into Azure DevOps work items, acceptance criteria, and development tasks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, UI/interface mappings, and operational runbooks.
• Application Development
• Design, develop, and refactor server-side components using C#, ASP.NET MVC (.NET Framework 4.8).
• Build and maintain UI components using Razor Views, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
• Implement background jobs, scheduled tasks, and Windows services without introducing API layers.
• Perform code reviews and enforce best practices for security, performance, and maintainability.

Database & Integration

• Develop and optimize SQL Server / Azure SQL objects including schemas, stored procedures, and indexes.
• Collaborate with data engineers on SSIS/ETL processes and file-based integrations.
• Validate data migration, integration points, and referential integrity.

Performance, Security & Operations

• Identify and resolve performance issues using caching, batching, and asynchronous processing.
• Implement secure coding practices and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Support logging, monitoring, diagnostics, and incident response documentation.

DevOps & Agile

• Support CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (builds, releases, deployments).
• Assist with deployment artifacts, rollback strategies, and release documentation.
• Actively participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with C# and .NET Framework 4.8 (ASP.NET MVC, Razor).
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework and/or ADO.NET.
• Strong T-SQL, stored procedures, and SQL performance tuning experience.
• Front-end experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
• Experience using Azure DevOps (Git, pipelines, work items).
• Proficiency with Visual Studio 2022.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SSIS or ETL tools.
• Unit and integration testing experience.
• Legacy .NET application modernization experience.
• Windows services, scheduled tasks, or job schedulers.
• Application logging, monitoring, and operational runbooks.
• Knowledge of enterprise security and data access controls.
• Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility.
