Key responsibilities of the Agile Coach:
The Propel Program Management Office (PMO) Agile Coach is responsible for a wide range of activities around:
• Providing team-level coaching to multiple Scrum Teams while working with 2-3 other Scrum Coaches
• Assists in the professional growth and development of Scrum Masters (approx. 10 in total)
• Assists in the recruitment and onboarding of future Agile Scrum Master positions
• Assists in building coaching skills in Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Architects Education

• Understanding of Agile values and principles
• Ability to advise teams on Agile best practices
• Ability to provide teaching, coaching and mentoring
• Basic understanding of PG&E’s business, and IT strategies and objectives • Ability to function in an open collaborative environment • Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills • Ability to build strong relationships with and influence leaders across PG&E Required skills:
• Organizational Skills: Ability to keep track of multiple, concurrent tasks which have varying priorities and due-dates that are subject to change.
• Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication to large audiences, explain performance variance, ask insightful questions, express opinions, convey different alternatives to aid problem solving sessions. Must be able to develop visual representations of ideas, data variances, trends as needed.
Desired Skills:
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) – terminology, approach, roles & responsibilities.
• Previous experience with Atlassian Jira, MS ADO, or other Agile Project execution tools
• Prior large corporation, IT Project or other Program Experience – Understanding the working environment of a large company with multiple departments, request processes, information needs to accomplish Propel’s objectives and in given timeframes.
• SAP/ERP Implementation Project experience - Understanding Agile and Waterfall methodology within the software lifecycle phase. Familiarity with the various roles, skillsets, and responsibilities of team members and how best to use their talents.
• Software Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS-Project, and Jira. PG&E uses Microsoft Outlook, including extensive use of Calendar, TEAMS Meetings, and document storage using SharePoint.
Additional Software Knowledge Desired:
• Use of PowerBI and/or PowerApps, MS- SharePoint (or similar document management software)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in related field
• Working knowledge of IT systems, from Infrastructure, Coding, Middleware, Interfaces, Configuration settings, User-Interface design concepts.
Work Experience:
• 7-10 years as a Scrum Master, ideally 5-7+ years as an Agile Coach (not required)
• 7-10 years of experience in large Software programs and/or IT Project experience.
