Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Tech Lead (Principal Consultant) to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade integration solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, deep knowledge of API-led connectivity and microservices architecture, and the ability to guide teams in delivering secure, scalable, and cost-effective integration solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.

This role combines technical leadership, architecture collaboration, and hands-on development while working closely with stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of MuleSoft-based integration solutions
Collaborate with MuleSoft Architects to define and implement API-led and microservices architectures
Standardize integration mechanisms to improve efficiency and reduce system costs
Develop Mule 4 applications following MuleSoft best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability
Write and optimize DataWeave expressions for data transformation and message processing
Design and implement robust error handling and exception management strategies
Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of MuleSoft applications
Configure and deploy applications to CloudHub 2.0 and/or customer-hosted Mule runtimes (standalone or clustered)
Drive CI/CD pipelines for APIs using DevOps tools and automation practices
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for integrations and APIs
Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams, customers, and partners
Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals

Required Qualifications & Skills

Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft 4.x
Deep understanding of microservices architecture and API strategy development
Proficiency with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including:

Mule Runtime
Connectors
Design Center
API Management
DataWeave
Flex Gateway
CloudHub 2.0
Partner Manager
EDI Integration

Experience developing and deploying MuleSoft applications in cloud and hybrid environments
Strong expertise in DataWeave transformations and exception handling
Hands-on experience with RAML 1.0, Maven, and MUnit
Solid understanding of API security standards and best practices
Knowledge of security concepts such as authentication, authorization, and identity management
Familiarity with EDI concepts
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple initiatives concurrently
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
