Work Arrangement: Hybrid (The resource must reside in the Des Moines metro area and be available to work onsite as needed).

Interview Mode: Either Web Cam or In-Person Interview.
Availability: Must be able to participate in on-call rotations for nightly and weekend patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

The Senior Specialist will oversee the core reliability of the enterprise environment, managing everything from physical storage connectivity to virtualized server layers.

1. SAN Storage & Mainframe Connectivity (10+ Years Required)

Multi-Platform Admin: Manage and maintain SAN Storage platforms including Pure, IBM, Dell, and NetApp.
Mainframe Integration: Oversee and optimize SAN connectivity to mainframe environments, troubleshooting complex integration issues.
System Integrity: Manage information management, file structure, and data representation within the storage fabric.

2. Virtualization & Windows Administration (10+ Years Required)

VMware Oversight: Administer and maintain virtualized environments (VMware) and associated server hardware.
Windows & AD: Perform senior-level Windows System Administration and Active Directory management, including Group Policies, user management, and directory security.
Operations: Execute critical system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting with minimal downtime.

3. Documentation & Technical Leadership

Technical Writing: Create precise documentation that serves as the foundation for system rewrites and future improvements.
Automation: Utilize scripting languages and utility programs to streamline system management processes.
Collaboration: Work independently with little supervision while maintaining clear, strong communication with cross-functional technical teams.
