We are looking for Network Security Engineer - Remote / Telecommute for our client in Dallas, TX

Job Title: Network Security Engineer - Remote / Telecommute

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

Client Configuration and troubleshooting of IPSEC site-to-site VPNs.
Client Ability to read, understand and troubleshoot complex routing issues.
Client Strong understanding of networking in a multi-data center environment.
Client Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks.
Client Communicate effectively with leadership, peers, project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
Client Flexible work schedule with ability to make after-hours changes.
Client US-based due to the support of Government connectivity requirements.
What experience will set candidates apart from one another?
Hands-on experience with Cisco routers building site-to-site IPSEC tunnels.
Clear and articulate verbal and written/documentation skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Client Configuration and troubleshooting of IPSEC site-to-site VPNs
Client Author technical documentation such as network diagrams
Client Monitor network performance and implement performance tuning when necessary
Client Diagnose connectivity problems and resolve network issues
Client Work closely with clients and vendors on implementation of products and services
Client Ensure security and operational standards and procedures are maintained in accordance with compliance requirements, HIPAA standards, and industry best practices
Client Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance only on the most complex tasks
Client Communicate effectively with leadership, peers, project managers, clients, and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

Client CCNP or higher certification, or experience that aligns with certification.
Client Experience installing and maintaining Cisco routers and switches.
Client Experience in Arista switch management.
Client Experience in Palo Alto firewalls.
Client Documentation skills and use of programs such as Visio.
Client Skilled in a scripting language such as Python.
Client Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
