The Workday Integrations Analyst is responsible for the design, development, support, and maintenance of integrations between Workday and internal/external systems. This role ensures secure, accurate, and timely data exchange across HCM, Payroll, Financials, Benefits, and third-party vendors.
This position serves as a senior technical authority for integration operations, production support, incident management, enhancements, and release readiness. The analyst partners closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, IT, and vendors to ensure system stability, compliance, and performance in a public-sector environment.
Integration Development & Maintenance
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations using:
- Workday Studio
- Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
- Core Connectors (Payroll, Benefits, Financials)
- REST and SOAP APIs
- Support inbound and outbound integrations with:
- Payroll and benefits vendors
- Time and attendance systems
- Financial and reporting systems
Integration Support & Operations
- Serve as the primary lead for day-to-day implementation, support, and maintenance of all Workday integrations
- Monitor integration schedules, alerts, and error logs; proactively identify and resolve issues
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex or recurring integration failures
- Manage incident response, escalation, and resolution in coordination with functional teams and vendors
- Ensure timely and accurate data transmission across all integrations
Collaboration & Compliance
- Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend integration solutions
- Coordinate integration changes related to Workday releases and updates
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with public-sector regulatory requirements
- Participate in audits and compliance reviews as needed
Documentation & Testing
- Document integration designs, configurations, processes, and support procedures
- Assist with unit testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Follow change management and SDLC best practices
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of Workday integration experience, with a strong focus on support and maintenance
- Hands-on experience with:
- Workday Studio
- EIBs and Core Connectors
- XSLT, XML, Web Services
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM and/or Financials data models
- Proven experience leading production support in an enterprise or public-sector environment
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to possess and maintain a personally owned mobile device for work-related communication

- Advanced experience supporting:

- XSLT, XML, JSON
- Workday Integration certification(s)
- Experience supporting Workday in a public-sector or government environment
- Experience with payroll, benefits, financial, or ERP vendor integrations
- Familiarity with middleware platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft)
- Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews
