Purpose of the TeamThe Software Engineering team applies the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate the software and systems that power modern computing. Our engineers research, design, and build operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software across diverse domains including medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, and scientific applications.
Key Projects & ResponsibilitiesAs a
Software Development Engineer 3, you will contribute to an existing code base and work across the full stack. Your responsibilities include:
- Modifying existing databases and database management systems.
- Writing and coding logical and physical database descriptions; specifying identifiers of databases to management systems or directing others in coding descriptions.
- Collaborating with project teams to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Reviewing project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish projects.
- Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and functional specification authoring to development, testing, and delivery.

Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (required).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Prior Microsoft experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software, as well as development tools such as SQL and Visual Basic.
