Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Audit Consultant to support audit and advisory engagements for a leading financial services organization. This role will lead audits, provide consulting support, and ensure regulatory compliance across Global Prime Funds / Money Market Fund operations. The ideal candidate has strong asset management audit experience and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Execution

• Lead audits of Global Prime Funds operations including fund administration, portfolio management, trading, compliance, and operations
• Plan and execute audits across multiple regions (US, EMEA, APAC)
• Assess liquidity, credit, operational, and regulatory risks
• Perform audit testing aligned with SOC 1/2, ISAE 3402, SEC Rule 2a-7, and MMFR standards
• Document findings, prepare reports, and present results to senior management
• Manage multiple audit engagements annually

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with SEC Investment Company Act, Rule 2a-7, and relevant regulatory standards
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess audit impact
• Review NAV calculations, liquidity monitoring, and pricing controls
• Support regulatory examinations and reviews
• Review regulatory filings and disclosures

Consulting & Advisory

• Provide advisory support on control design, process improvements, and risk mitigation
• Support new product initiatives and operational changes through risk assessments
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Prime Funds operations

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Portfolio Management, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams
• Present findings to senior leadership and governance committees
• Coordinate with external auditors and oversight bodies

Required Qualifications

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFA (required)

Experience

• 8+ years of audit experience in asset management
• Strong experience with money market / prime funds
• Experience leading complex audits in large or global organizations
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders

Technical Skills

• Asset management operations (front, middle, and back office)
• Money market fund regulations and controls
• Fund accounting, NAV calculation, and pricing methodologies
• Risk frameworks (COSO, COBIT)
• Financial instruments (repos, commercial paper, CDs, treasuries)
• Audit and data analysis tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Tableau, TeamMate)

Core Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting
• 10+ years total experience with significant asset management exposure
• Big 4 or large consulting firm experience
• Knowledge of international money market fund regulations
• Exposure to SQL, Python, or advanced analytics
