Job Description Required Skills:
3-5 years' experience with Kubernetes
3-5 years' experience with AWS
3-5 years' experience in Database administration: Postgres, RDS (eg. Aurora)
3 years' experience in Python
Operational Experience with cloud-based service infrastructure (DNS, load balancing, ingress, telemetry and logging)
The MLPT Polymer group supports a range of Machine Learning platform products including: Bolt, Hub, Lightning and many Data Platform systems. These are all internal production tools supported via multiple Polymer offerings, including authentication (Notary), authorization (Directory), and collaboration (Squad) services. The ML ecosystem at Client has increasingly adopted Polymer services over the previous 3 years.
The team is lean, building and operating multiple services to internal customers. Critical objectives within the team are related to each service: high uptime/zero downtime (availability), efficiently scaled (up to 1000 requests per second) and performance (sub-second latency) for our customers.
Open to remote workers?
Yes. Ideally, we want to work with a person in the Pacific time zone, same as the team. Not a hard requirement.

We would like to hire a contractor to:
Manage Kubernetes clusters by performing improvements and regular maintenance. Perform cloud infrastructure operational tasks.
Perform Database administration tasks including migration, instrumenting of telemetry, performance monitoring, cost monitoring and consolidation.
CI/CD-focused projects that include implementing features for GitOps + software lifecycle tooling and processes.
