Senior IT Project Manager - Retail Logistics

Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Logistics & Supply Chain IT

Locations: SFO, CA / Rocklin, CA / San Jose, CA / Memphis, TN 

Role Summary

The Senior Project Manager will drive complex IT initiatives within the Logistics and Transportation domain. You will be responsible for the end-to-end SDLC, from defining work estimates to post-implementation reviews. The focus of this role is Execution Excellence: you must be able to anticipate delays, manage high-stakes project budgets, and communicate strategic impacts to executive leadership. You will act as the glue between Architects, QA, and Business stakeholders to ensure "Final Mile" and "Returns" projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Logistics Strategy: Lead projects focused on middle-mile/final-mile delivery, transportation optimization, and the reverse logistics (returns) lifecycle.

• Proactive Planning: Develop team execution plans and identify "burn vs. earn" trends. You are expected to alert stakeholders to plan delays before they become critical failures.

• Financial Ownership: Own the project budget ($1M+ scope), including forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and ROI tracking.

• SDLC Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to established Williams-Sonoma SDLC standards and quality control policies.

• Risk & Mitigation: Orchestrate cross-functional meetings to develop risk mitigation strategies for inter-dependent projects.

• Stakeholder Management: Negotiate with Business and Testing managers to resolve resource bottlenecks and critical path impediments.
