Payrate: $65.00 - 68.26/hr

This role is a potential contract to hire and will require resources that do not require sponsorship now or in the future.
Position Summary/ Responsibilities
Looking for a seasoned software engineer to develop, enhance, debug, maintain and test enterprise software applications that support front-office LOBs and data maintenance workflows. These tasks are primarily performed using Java, Spring, Oracle PL/SQL and related technologies and are deployed on Linux servers. The ideal candidate is a team player with a proven ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of management to successfully deliver on a comprehensive technology book of work
Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals.
Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset.
Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns.
At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOps.
Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements.
Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle/ Agile development environment.
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities.
Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches' team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor. Ability to effectively communicate with business, technology partners and senior management
Develop and maintain enterprise Java applications (Client On-Boarder Sales View)
Develop and maintain core sales party, account and third-party vendor database views/tables.
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
Monitor production applications, set up monitoring and respond to alerts appropriately
Follow enterprise coding standards and execute on best practices to build processes
Primary Skill: Core Java
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or Equivalent professional experience
Strong programming experience with Oracle and PL/SQL. Knowledge of Spring, and modern UI libraries like ExtJs, Jquery, AngularJS
5-7 years of relevant hands-on programming experience. Banking domain knowledge a plus
Experience with implementation and release management activities
Good understanding of Junit, integration and functional testing
Experience working with Java/Scala Programming Language
Exposure to Resource Description Framework (RDF and SPARQL)
Experience with REST based web service
Experience writing technical designs and documenting technical functions
Experience with JIRA tool and infrastructure

Gathers and catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests.
Analyzes functional and data requirements. Answers the questions: What does the software do and how does it store information?
Assists users and development team with application testing and troubleshooting
Identifies, documents and troubleshoots application related problems
Documents process, procedures and workflows associated with applications
Creates and maintains training materials for end-users
Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving skills; excellent organizational, communication skills
A good team-player who seeks input and involves others in his/her communications; a person who values and cultivates relationships.
