Seeking an Technical Project Manager to lead and stabilize a portfolio of in-flight technology projects following a recent financial system migration.
Contract duration: through 7-31-26
Work location: Columbus, OH (onsite)
Essential duties and responsibilities:
-Responsible for driving execution, structure, and accountability across active initiatives.
-Bring clarity, predictability, and delivery discipline to existing projects supporting the migration of approximately 10 applications.
Requires senior level judgment & exp. stabilizing complex, in-flight IT projects with minimal ramp-up-time.
-Provide day-to-day operational management of multiple active IT projects already in progress.
-Report directly to the upper management & align execution with leadership priorities.
-Manage projects related to application migration, data warehouse updates, and reporting remediation.
-Break existing work into clear milestones and deliverables.
-Develop and maintain executable project plans and schedules.
-Coordinate work across business analysts, developers, SMEs, and consultants.
-Mentor business analysts on documentation and project discipline.
-Facilitate project meetings using Microsoft Teams.
-Schedule & manage meetings using MS Outlook.
-Provide concise and accurate status reporting to executive leadership.
-Identify risks, dependencies, and decision points early.
-Drive timely issue resolution and escalation when needed.
-Ensure documentation is complete and suitable for audit review.
-Reinforce consistent project management practices across the portfolio.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requires skills/qualifications/highly desired experience:
-PMP certification
-At least 5 yrs. of hands-on technical project management exp.
-Demonstrated exp. taking active or distressed projects.
-Proven ability to drive immediate execution.
-Managing multiple concurrent technology projects.
-Strong, delivery-focused project management background.
-Advanced proficiency with MS Teams & Outlook.
-High level of organization & strong attention to detail.
-Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
-At least 8 yrs. of senior-level technical project management exp.
-Managing complex & in-flight technical projects.
-Application migration(s) or modernization initiatives.
-Data warehouse or reporting project exp.
-Mentoring business analysts or junior project managers
-Working in public sector or highly visible environment.
